When Toby first recorded music to sell to people, he and friend (designer) Will Mahon burned all the cds themselves and made the packaging from photocopies and a stamp (for colour). It was a satisfying experience and one that after four label releases, Toby wanted to revisit.

1 is less hand-made than that first cd, but with more resources available than all those years ago, Toby and Will had the cds pressed and took the opportunity to use a traditional book printing company to make the packaging.

Using the photographs which Warwick Baker had been inspired to take upon hearing a mix of the record, the result is a beautiful, simple fold-out package on recycled paper. Each hand-stamped from 1 - 500. Just like the music, it is somewhat experimental... an opportunity for people who still believe in "collecting" records to buy something unique, artful and (hopefully) beautiful, to the eye and the ear.
